The Hellacopters - (Gotta Get Some Action) Now!

Sunday, time for a classic. "(Gotta Get Some Action) Now!" is the first single by THE HELLACOPTERS, released in 1996 from the album Supershitty to the Max!. In general this single is the third in a group's activity (after "Killing Alan" and "1995"). The music video THE HELLACOPTERS have shot in 1996. It was the first video by the group. It shows the band playing on racing competitions in a karting park, mixing with the fragments of playing at the concert. The members of the group took place in kart racing and drove in go-karts. And on some curves appeared tables with the label "action"

Supershitty to the Max! is the Grammis Award winning debut album and was recorded in just 26 hours during February 1996 at Sunlight Studios in Stockholm.



The album was initially released on 500 units of clear vinyl, followed two weeks later by a CD version. A second vinyl release was available in 1997 with 1500 units in white vinyl, whilst Toys Factory also released the album in Japan with a cover version of the Misfits song "Bullet" as a bonus track.

Spidergawd - Tourniquet

New week, new month and that means it's time to present this week's "Record of the Week"

A year after the awesome self titled debut with our neighbours (Norway) SPIDERGAWD, they are back with are brand new album "Spidergawd II", this weeks "Record Of The Week".

The Trondheim-based SPIDERGAWDs music is intressting mix of 70's classic boogie rock, with progressive hooks and jazzy licks, it's a pretty forward and catchy, no fuss or other strange things. The influences are of course MOTORPSYCHO, as part of the band plays there. THE HELLACOPTERS are another one. It's Heavy, Bluesy, Jazzy and delightfully messy that you can only smile when you hear this. Take the first tune "...Is All She Says" with the slow guitar blues intro until it rise to a hard rocking beast. Or todays tune "Tourniquet", a happy, speedy and snotty garage rocker. Or the instrumental psychedelic "Careulean Caribou" with Jazzy and Dizzy saxophone, a real beauty in my ears.

The album was recorded at SoerGarden Studios and the cover Illustration is made by Emile Morel.

Mark Lanegan Band - Sad Lover

MARK LANEGAN BAND has rolled out his tour machine in support of his latest album, "Phantom Radio". The iconic alt rocker and his merry backing band has a bunch of dates for Europe, see below. According to a press release, this outing serves as LANEGANs first with a full band since mid-2012. Tomorrow he lands in Stockholm for a show at Debaser Strand. A show I sadly will miss as I off to Gothenburg for the first step in the "Swedish Eurovision machine" Melodifestivalen. But if you have nothing to do, go and see it I am almost sure it will be a magical evening.




MARK LANEGAN (born November 25, 1964) is an American alternative rock musician and singer-songwriter. Born and raised in Ellensburg, Washington, Lanegan began his musical career in 1984, forming the grunge band SCREAMING TREES with Gary Lee Conner, Van Conner and Mark Pickerel. During his time in the band, Lanegan also started a low-key solo career and released his first solo studio album, The Winding Sheet, in 1990. Since 1990, he has released a further six studio albums and has received critical recognition and moderate commercial success.

In an interview with The Quietus, Lanegan stated that he used a phone app called FunkBox to write the drum parts on some of the songs.

HOG - Halo Turns Black

HOG is a metal band from Stockholm, Sweden. HOG was founded in 2010 and consists of a bunch of tough guys from Sweden and Denmark.

In November last year they release their second video "Halo Turns Black" taken from the bands debut EP "Take Me To Your God". The band plays a prodigious style of metal with a distinct character, heavy as lead with hard bludgeoning drums and distorted bass that moves forward like a aggressive steamroller. The compounded steam engine consists of melodic vocals mixed with loud mouthed growls and intricate, tricky and crunching riffs that controls the monster on the right course.

HOG is working on new material and a new single is expected to be released in early spring and an album during the summer 2015. The band is booked for a show at WTM (Wheres The Music) festival in Norrköping, Sweden at February 14.

Tori Amos - Trouble's Lament

Unrepentant Geraldines is the fourteenth studio album by American singer-songwriter and pianist Tori Amos. The album, available on standard CD/digital download, a limited edition CD+DVD, and two disc vinyl LP, was released in Germany on May 9, 2014.

Todays tune "Trouble’s Lament" is taken from the latest album "Unrepentant Geraldines". The accompanying music video was shot on location in London, featuring Amos in a diner in Islington with different people, and driving around the city at night in a yellow car.


Musically, the song is influenced by different musical styles, including Americana, folk music, Flamenco and pop music. Amos' piano playing is accompanied by acoustic guitar and sparse percussion. The instrumentation is similar to the music of Neko Case, Patty Griffin, Fleetwood Mac and Amos' own past production on the predominantly acoustic Scarlet's Walk (2002).

The song's lyrics finds Amos stating that "Trouble needs a home" after having left Satan behind, and sings about welcoming Danger into her life.

Of the song's style and background, Amos (who is originally from North Carolina) stated that her Southern roots were influential: "It's really in the blood. It's almost like you listen to the land speaking to you. And wherever I am I can hear the South calling me. I really like the idea that trouble was a young woman....I see her on my travels a lot. And maybe I knew her many years ago when I was in my twenties."

Tori Amos (born Myra Ellen Amos; August 22, 1963) is an American singer-songwriter, pianist and composer. She is a classically trained musician and possesses a mezzo-soprano vocal range. She has been nominated eight times for a Grammy Award.

Pearl Jam - Just Breathe

"Just Breathe" is a song by the American rock band PEARL JAM. "Just Breathe" was released on October 31, 2009 as the second single from the band's ninth studio album, Backspacer (2009). The single was released as a double A-side along with the song "Got Some". The song was triggered by a chord from "Tuolumne", an instrumental from Eddie Vedder's soundtrack for the 2007 film, Into the Wild.

On January 22, 2014, "Just Breathe" was certified platinum in digital sales by the RIAA. It is the band's first platinum-certified song.

The song has been featured in several TV shows and movies including Castle, One Tree Hill, Brothers & Sisters, Life as We Know It, The Blacklist and Buck, the documentary of Buck Brannaman, played during the film's closing credits.

Todays tune "Just Breathe" is taken from the band's ninth studio album, Backspacer (2009). Vedder described "Just Breathe" as "as close to a love song as we've ever gotten" and said that the subject of the song is the happiest times of people's lives when they should just take in the moment and "breathe for a minute."



An interesting thing with the artwork for the album was handled by editorial cartoonist Dan Perkins, who goes by the pen name Tom Tomorrow. Perkins spent six months working on the artwork. In 2009, Village Voice Media, publishers of 16 alternative weeklies, suspended all syndicated cartoons across their entire chain. Perkins lost twelve client papers in cities including Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York City and Seattle, prompting his friend Vedder to post an open letter on the Pearl Jam website in support of the cartoonist. Perkins referred to the artwork as "dreams and memories," while Gossard referred to the artwork as a "bizarro otherworldy dreamscape." 

The album's cover art features nine images created by Perkins, and was revealed through a contest on the band's official website. The nine images were hidden on various websites, and the contest asked Internet users to search for the websites containing the images, whereby the images would be placed on a grid on the Pearl Jam website after clicking on them. After finding all of the images, users were rewarded with a demo version of the song "Speed of Sound". On the cover and spine of the limited edition gatefold sleeve version, the "Backspacer" keys glow in the dark.

Revolution Saints - Turn Back Time

Mick Jagger - Wandering Spirit

Sunday, time for a classic.

Wandering Spirit is the third solo album by MICK JAGGER. Released in 1993, it was his only solo album release of the 1990s.

Following the THE ROLLING STONES "Steel Wheels" (1989), Jagger began writing new material for what would become Wandering Spirit. In January 1992, after landing Rick Rubin as co-producer, JAGGER recorded the album in Los Angeles over seven months until September 1992, recording simultaneously as Keith Richards was making Main Offender.

Jagger kept the celebrity guests to a minimum on Wandering Spirit, only having LENNY KRAVITZ as a vocalist on his cover of BILL WITHERS "Use Me" and bassist Flea from RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS on three tracks.

Following the end of THE ROLLING STONES Sony Music contract and their signing to Virgin Records, Jagger elected to sign with Atlantic Records (which had signed the Stones in the 1970s) to distribute what would be his only album with the label.


Released in February 1993, Wandering Spirit was commercially successful, reaching #12 in the UK and #11 in the US, going gold there. The track "Sweet Thing" was the lead single, although it was the third single, "Don't Tear Me Up", which found moderate success, topping Billboard's Album Rock Tracks chart for one week. Critical reaction was very strong, noting Jagger's abandonment of slick synthesizers in favour of an incisive and lean guitar sound.

The Well - Mortal Bones

New week and it's time to present this week's "Record of the Week"

"Samsara" is inspired by early 70's psych and proto-metal, Austin-based power trio THE WELL redefine heavy rock by merging massive riffs with sophisticated melodies. THE WELL have created a sound that reflects doom, punk and horror all rolled together in a ghostly rock soundtrack. Their full-length debut "Samsara" is really strong collection of tunes that will trill most of the fans of 70's Psychedelic Proto-metal.

With a progressive sound that stems from a nostalgic desire to blend different musical styles as diverse as JOY DIVISION and BLUE CHEER.

The group blossomed when guitarist/vocalist Ian Graham was fired from his previous band. Determined to redirect his musical focus, Graham hooked up with bassist Lisa Alley and the two began picking out riffs in their east-side garage. Rounding out their sound, they stole drummer Jason Sullivan from Graham’s old band in a tale of vengeance and karma. His solid groove and reckless tribal beat gave the three-piece their ideal primal attack.

Due to their psychedelic doom edge, THE WELL reaps comparisons to BLACK SABBATH, SLEEP, ELECTRIC WIZARD and UNCLE ACID AND THE DEADBEATS. As fans of cult horror films, they embrace the sinister, revel in dark themes and find inspiration in haunting echoes. The dual vocals of Graham and Alley evoke an ancient language that carries a mystic spell. Daunting rhythms and heavy guitars often accentuate their chilling chants. In the spring of 2012 THE WELLs first studio experience was to record their debut 7" at the Barbeque Shack with Tia Carrera’s Jason Morales. Limited to 300 copies, Seven was pressed on mixed vinyl with several cover options featuring hand-drawn art that emulated a few of the band’s favourite album covers. Nicknamed the “rip-off” series, the single sold out quickly becoming a favourite among European collectors.

By the fall of 2012, THE WELL were back in the studio again, this time at Ohm Recording Facility with Producer Mark Deutrom (MELVINS, SUN O)))) and Engineer Chico Jones to record their debut album. However, an opportunity to record with Converse Rubber Tracks during SXSW 2013 resulted in the epic track "Eternal Well" and sparked the idea of an EP. First Trip was pressed with a handful of songs from the Ohm sessions together with ‘Eternal Well’ just in time for their West Coast Summer Tour. Due to the energy and excitement of their live shows, the vinyl sold out quickly. With each repressing, a different hand-screened cover was printed until all four limited editions sold out. One of their most rabid fans was Riding Easy Records label boss Daniel Hall who recently signed the band.

“Writing dark, ominous music is how I deal with life,” admits Ian. “When we play live it’s like expelling the demons.” At a time when rock music is fading among the masses, The Well injects an intoxicating dose of raw adrenaline into a fatigued genre. Their nostalgic reverence, simple structure and modern expression put them at the forefront of today’s heavy rock.

Europe - War Of Kings

Swedish hard rock veterans EUROPE have released the first taste of their upcoming 10th album, "War Of Kings", it will be released on March 2, 2015.

War of Kings will be available in multiple formats, as a CD digipak, a CD jewel case, a Vinyl LP and in digital download format.

Vocalist Joey Tempest stated that "War of Kings is the album we always wanted to make, ever since we were kids listening to bands like Zeppelin, Purple and Sabbath. And after hearing Dave Cobb amazing production for RIVAL SONS we simply had to work with him. Our adventure is still ON!"

The album was recorded at the PanGaia Studios in Stockholm, Sweden, produced by Dave Cobb and engineered by John Netti.


"War Of Kings" will be available in multiple formats, as a CD digipak, a CD jewel case, a vinyl LP and in digital download format.


EUROPE will hit the road to supporting "War Of Kings" with a UK/Ireland tour in Dublin on March 2 (their first visit to Ireland in 25 years) before continuing in the UK and US with BLACK STAR RIDERS (see the dates below).



Todays tune is the first single and title tack taken from the upcoming album "War of Kings", the single was released on February 4, 2015. "War of Kings" is a great tune with a cool vibe of the past. I like this alot and really looking forward to the upcoming album.

TEN - Alone In The Dark Tonight

The British melodic hard rock band TEN have released a new video "Alone In The Dark Tonight" taken from the latest album "Albion". TEN was formed in 1995. Up until 2015, TEN had released eleven studio albums, two compilation albums, four EPs, a double live album and five music videos. The band released their 11th studio album entitled Albion, on the 21st of November 2014 through Rocktopia Records and are currently on the recording stages of its followup.

"Albion" derives its name from the worldwide earliest documented name for the collective British Isles from the time of Queen Boadicia. According to the band, "Albion" will also represent another first for TEN with the release of a limited edition double gatefold vinyl album, which will include a large number of collectable items.

It's a powerful and solid Melodic Rock tune. The video was put together using footage from the band's FireFest - The Final Fling performance in October 2014.

Battle Beast - Madness

BATTLE BEAST is a Finnish heavy metal band established in Helsinki in 2008. The initial line-up consisted of guitarists Anton Kabanen, Juuso Soino and drummer Pyry Vikki, who were high school friends. The rest of the original line-up, singer Nitte Valo, bassist Eero Sipilä and keyboardist Janne Björkroth, joined the band after auditions.


Before gaining a record contract, BATTLE BEAST was best known for having won two major band competitions in year 2010: the international Wacken Metal Battle 2010, participated by thousands of bands from all around the world, which final stage was held at the famed German metal festival Wacken Open Air; soon after that, the band was announced the winner of Radio Rock Starba, a band competition held by the major Finnish radio station Radio Rock. With their victory in the Finnish competition the band received intense media exposure, and before the end of 2010 they had signed a record deal with the Finnish label Hype Records.

BATTLE BEASTs first album, titled Steel, was released in Finland in Spring 2011. With the support of the two singles, "Show Me How to Die" and "Enter the Metal World". Althugh released only in Finland, the album soon caught the attention of the international metal label Nuclear Blast, with whom the band signed a licensing deal in late 2011. A reissue of Steel, which included one bonus track, was released to the European market in January 2012. The band was voted at the third place in the list for Newcomer Of The Year 2011 at the Finnish Metal Awards in February 2012. To support the European release of Steel, Battle Beast toured for the first time as opening act for their countrymen NIGHTWISH in many European dates of the Imaginaerum World Tour. The tour was reported a success by both bands. On the final show of the tour NIGHTWISH paid their respects to the support band by performing a cover of "Show Me How to Die" as a part of their acoustic set.

In Autumn 2012, after touring the Finnish rock festivals for the summer, Nitte Valo was announced to be leaving the band because of family issues. With the news of her departure, came the announcement of a new lead singer Noora Louhimo from Tampere, Finland. With Louhimo in the band, Battle Beast started another European tour in November, this time supporting the Finnish power metal band SONATA ARTICA.

After the tour, the band immediately went into studio to record their second album. The label Hype Productions had gone out of business and the band moved on to Warner Music Finland, with Nuclear Blast still handling international releases. The first single with Noora Louhimo on vocals, "Into the Heart of Danger" was released on 26 April 2013, followed by the album Battle Beast on 17 May 2013. Another single and a music video for the song "Black Ninja" was released to coincide with the release of the album. The following autumn Battle Beast headed on another European tour, this time supporting the German bands POWERWOLF and U.D.O.


And now in 2015 they released their third album "Unholy Savior" and a new tour is on.

Orden Ogan - F.E.V.E.R

ORDEN OGAN are the most promising band of the new power metal generation. The band was formed in 1996 by Sebastian Grütling (drums) and Sebastian Levermann (lead vocals and guitar). The Germans plays power metal with progressive and folk metal elements.

They currently have 3 demo albums and 5 full-length albums and are signed with AFM Records. The fifth album "Ravenhead" was released on January 16th 2015 (EUR) and February 03rd 2015 (US). They achieved international breakthrough with "To The End" (2012) and the latest looks pretty promising. "Ravenhead" is mixed by Sebastian "Seeb" Levermann at Greenman Studios.

The "Ravenhead" is also released as a Ltd.Gatefold/Colored Vinyl/180 Gramm



They are also the organizers of the German metal festival WinterNachtsTraum, which has featured such bands as Rage, Sinister, Axxis, Ensiferum, Van Canto, and Agathodaimon

The band is out on tour in Europe atm with Hammerfall and Serious Black, see dates below.

Wovenwar - Death to Rights

Jordan Mancino(drums), Nick Hipa(guitar), Phil Sgrosso(guitar) and Josh Gilbert(bass/vocals) of San Diego, California based metal act AS I LAY DYING, have teamed up with vocalist Shane Blay (previously lead guitar/clean vocals in OH, SLEEPER) to create the new band WOVENWAR.




Their self-titled debut album was produced by the band along with the production team of Bill Stevenson (BLACK FLAG, THE DESCENDENTS) and Jason Livermore. Mixing duties for the outing were handled by Colin Richardson (SLIPKNOT, MACHINE HEAD).

Wovenwar is the self-titled debut studio album and was released on 5 August 2014 through Metal Blade Records.

Wovenwar formed in 2013 in San Diego, California.

In mid 2014, the band performed with Black Label Society on their first North American tour. Additionally, the ensemble accompanied In Flames later that year while they travelled Europe.

Sunday, time for a classic tune.

Todays tune "Jailbreak" is a song by Australian hard rock band AC/DC. It is the ninth and final track of their third Australian album Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, released in September 1976. It was written by Angus Young, Malcolm Young, and Bon Scott.

It was first released as a single in Australia and the UK in mid-1976, with the non-album track "Fling Thing" as its B-side. The single was re-issued in the UK in 1980 with a picture sleeve.

As "Jailbreak" was only included on the Australian version of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, and not on its international counterpart, it did not see a release in the United States, Canada, and Japan until October 1984 as part of the international '74 Jailbreak EP. A promo-only single, with "Show Business" as its B-side, was released to radio stations in the US at the time.


The music video for "Jailbreak" was filmed in March 1976 for the Australian music programme Countdown, and was directed by Paul Drane. It was filmed in a quarry in the Melbourne suburb of Albion, near Sunshine and featured the band's then-current lineup. Phil Rudd and Bon Scott dressed as prisoners (blue uniform covered with typical Australian Broad Arrow), Mark Evans and Malcolm Young as guards, and Angus Young dressed in what he later described as "little convict pajamas". The Young brothers, Evans and Rudd all appeared while playing their instruments, while Scott sang. This video was featured on AC/DC's Family Jewels DVD.


"Jailbreak" is one of the first videos to make the use of explosives and fake blood. Paul Drane, the director of the video, is quoted saying, "We didn't really know how much explosive we were going to need to make the doors fly open, and I had a couple of guys from props with sticks, trying to push the doors apart, so the hinges are not really there ...""It was the first time we'd had access to anything like this, these exploding blood packs."

Additionally, the band acts out the section of the song that details the protagonist's escape from prison. The film shows the prisoners (Scott, Angus and Rudd) doing hard labour under watch of the prison guards (Malcolm and Evans). Later it shows the prisoners manage to blow open the gates to the prison. Rudd and Angus are able to escape. Scott, portraying the protagonist, is shot by Malcolm Young and Evans as he attempts to escape. The video is dubbed with the studio track from the Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap album.

Brant Bjork - Controller Destroyed

New week and it's time to present this week's "Record of the Week".

No one can fool this man anymore: As a cult figure of the Palm Desert scene, as founder and drummer of the unfortunately no longer active Stoner-Rock legends KYUSS and a permanent member of VISTA CHINO (formerly KYUSS LIVES!), the formation around KYUSS colleague JOHN GARCIA, BRANT BJORK is washed with all (musical) waters. Now he is sailing under his own flag and proves once again that his multi-instrumental skills know no creative boundaries. With his excellent occupied Low Desert Punk Band and the brand new album "Black Power Flower" and this week's "Record Of The Week".

The album "Black Power Flower" is a pretty straight-forward rock and roll album, but with the heat of Nevada desert shimmer and some hard hitting dusty crunch riffs with funky elements in the tunes that makes this piece to end up to something else. The first tune "Controller Destroyed" sets the tone for the rest of the album, it's a heavy piece with a SABBATH influence starting point that turning into some old slow punkish stuff, until itevens itselfto a morehypnotic stoner-likecreation. The album feels very fresh and new even if you feel KYUSS and VISTA CHINO in the layers. The sound is comfortable for the ears, without becoming repetitive and dull even if it's noisy and messy is the mix right where it should be.

I just love when he scrubs his guitar through all sorts of psychedelic effect pedals and skillfully mixes Stoner Rock, Blues and Doom-bonds to a feverish hazy brew to create "Black Power Flower"

“Black Power Flower” is an excellent album, it grooves with great toughness, it flowslike aun-pannedgoldstream filled with the perfect amount of psychedelic with out getting high as soon you step into the water.





Brant Bjork hails from Palm Desert, California, where he began gigging at the age of 13. By high school Brant had begun Kyuss with locals Josh Homme, Chris Cockrell, (later Nick Oliveri) and John Garcia. Kyuss was signed to Elektra and became the first desert rock band to achieve international success by spearheading a musical movement that brought heavy and psychedelic sounds back to rock and roll and served as a prototype for all “desert/stoner rock”. In 1993, Brant left Kyuss and moved to Humboldt to flip pizzas and play soccer. Too much rain moved him back to his natural habitat where he started an independent record label, EL CAMINO, played drums in hardcore punk band De-Con; and played guitar with desert legend Mario Lalli in Fatso Jetson. In 1996, Bjork hooked up again with Homme, to begin the DESERT SESSIONS saga and work on what became Queens Of The Stone Age. However, Brant decided to take the road less travelled and rock with his surf buddies Fu Manchu, an adventure that took him into the studio for five records and around the world in four years.
Feeling the need to embark on his own personal musical journey, in 1999 Brant released his first solo record, JALAMANTA, on premier independent label, MAN’s RUIN. (Re-released in 2003 on DUNA RECORDS.) This landscape record certainly has underlying rock elements, but is more of an embodiment of fluidity in motion between cool jazz, break beats and Rasta grooves. Bjork plays all of the instruments on the record and sings with such a quiet soul and conviction it not only confirms Bjork as one of the baddest rock drummers of our time, but also legitimises him as a premier talent on all levels. Bjork's follow-up and heaviest record, CH'E, was recorded and mixed in three days with Alfredo Hernandez (drums) and Dave Dinsmore (bass), and truly captures Brant’s classic rock & roll roots. In 2002, Brant released his third solo record, BRANT BJORK AND THE OPERATORS on DUNA RECORDS. The Operators record demonstrated Brant’s capabilities indicative of his formative years being spent in the 80’s underground and creates a low-brow, hi-fi approach to traditional new wave. This record convinces us that Cheech & Chong and The Cars must have had a love child… named Brant Bjork.

On Bjork’s fourth solo record, KEEP YOUR COOL, Brant rocks, swings and soars to new heights by cutting through the petty and getting back to the sweaty. This record takes you from insightful, unconcealed testimonials to getting laid in the back seat of a trans-am. With the momentum of these four highly diversified albums under his belt, Brant Bjork takes an even more interesting turn with his latest and most introspective and laid-back record to date, LOCAL ANGEL. With this record we are assured that Brant Bjork is first and foremost a songwriter, with drums taking a quiet backseat on this one. His bittersweet lyrics and warm vulnerability allows us to feel pains and emotions generally untapped in rock music. The first Brant Bjork and the Bros group record, SAVED BY MAGIC, was released in August 2005 on DUNA RECORDS, followed by SOMERA SOL in the Spring of 2007. In 2008 PUNK ROCK GUILT was the first release on Bjork’s new label LOW DESERT PUNK and his sixth solo release to date. According to Holopainen, the starting point for writing the song "Élan" was a quote by Walt Whitman (who he referred to as "my hero Uncle Walt"): "Oh, while I live to be the ruler of life, Not a slave, To meet life as a powerful conqueror, and nothing exterior to me will ever take command of me." Holopainen stated, "The underlying theme of the song is nothing less than the meaning of life, which can be something different for all of us. It´s important to surrender yourself to the occasional 'free fall' and not to fear the path less travelled by."

NIGHTWISH's new full-length album, "Endless Forms Most Beautiful", will be made available on March 27 in Europe and March 31 in the U.S. via Nuclear Blast.

The cover artwork for "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" was created by the band's longtime collaborator Toxic Angel. Famed evolutionary biologist and atheist writer/leader Richard Dawkins appears as a guest on the effort.

Longtime NIGHTWISH drummer Jukka Nevalainen sat out the recording sessions for "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" due to health issues; Kai Hahto (WINTERSUN, SWALLOW THE SUN, TREES OF ETERNITY) replaced him.

The "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" title came from Charles Darwin's "The Origin Of Species" book, where he wrote: "There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that, while this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved."

Singer Floor Jansen, who officially joined the band in 2013, made her live debut as the frontwoman of NIGHTWISH on October 1, 2012 at Showbox Sodo in Seattle, Washington.

The 11-track set is the follow up to the 2013 album The Low Highway and features EARLEs longtime band THE DUKES, comprised of Kelly Looney, Will Rigby, Chris Masterson and Eleanor Whitmore. The album was produced by R.S. Field (Buddy Guy, John Mayall), engineered by EARLEs longtime production partner Ray Kennedy and recorded at House of Blues Studio D in Nashville, TN.

Terraplane will be available as a single compact disc, deluxe CD/DVD, digitally, as well as 180g vinyl. The deluxe version of the album will include 24-bit high-res audio of the album as well as a long-form interview between Earle and acclaimed journalist Mark Jacobson, 3 live, acoustic songs filmed on the porch of House of Blues Studio D, and a behind-the-scenes short film about the making of the album. The album is a vibrant blues record at it's purest.

The Swedish indie folk singer-songwriter JOSÉ GONZÁLEZ is back with the third full-length solo release "Vestiges & Claws", it's his first in seven years.



The new track sounds as JOSÉ GONZÁLEZ do, not as stripped-down as before, but the voice and the feeling is still there. This album will follow me on tour.

The Black Keys - Weight of Love

"Weight of Love" is the latest departure by American rock duo THE BLACK KEYS eighth studio album "Turn Blue".

"Weight of Love" catchy blues rock with tender vocal from Daniel Auerbach.

The Black Keys are an American rock duo formed in Akron, Ohio in 2001. The group consists of Dan Auerbach (guitar, vocals) and Patrick Carney (drums). The duo began as an independent act, recording music in basements and self-producing their records, before they eventually emerged as one of the most popular garage rock artists during a second wave of the genre's revival in the 2010s. The band's raw blues rock sound draws heavily from Auerbach's blues influences, including Junior Kimbrough, Howlin' Wolf, and Robert Johnson.



Todays tune "Weight of Love" is taken from THE BLACK KEYS latest album "Turn Blue". The tune is a slow-burning album opener that, at almost seven minutes, clocks in as the record’s longest song. The video itself begins with a short snippet of "Fever" then follows a cult of women led by supermodel Lara Stone; the religious imagery and idyllic landscapes aren't too of a piece with the song's lyrics, but they do echo the track's soulful overtones.
